Word Alive Ministry ends anniversary celebration in Calabar

Members of the Christian community in Calabar and listeners to Rev. (Dr.) Mike Obiora ministration on Sparkling 92.3 FM have expressed joy over the success of the 6th anniversary celebration of the church themed: “HIGHER GLORY” which ended on Sunday February 25, 2024.

The grand finale of the event which took place at the church auditorium Word Alive Church, Plot 1 B State Housing Lane, Calabar was attended by members from Anating street, Calabar South regional headquarters of the ministry and other Christian denominations in Cross River State.

Referencing 1st Samuel 5:7 “And when the men of Ashod saw that it was so, they said the Ark of the God of Israel shall not abide with us; for his hand is sore upon us, and upon Dargon our god,” the guest preacher Rev. Utih Dike, from Delta State, likened the unconditional release of the celebrant, Rev. (Dr.) Mike Obiora, Senior Pastor of Shekinah Word Alive Church from his abductor’s enclave last December as to what the Ark of God did in the land of the Philistines by bringing calamity unto their god and smote them with hemorrhoids, even Dagaon in Ashod and the coasts thereof, saying the children of God will continue to be terror in the camps of the enemy.

In his homily, the host minister, Rev. (Dr.) Obiora in an overwhelming but humble and esteemed manner narrated his fulfillment in being alive to celebrate the 6th Anniversary of the goodness of God taking his text from Daniel 6:27, “He delivereth and rescueth and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and on earth, who had delivered Daniel from the paw of the lions” attributed his release to the awesome delivering power of God in times of need of Christians when in danger.

Goodwill messages came from Rev. John Ugbeide and Dr. Israel Akpan Obot of the Baptist Church and gospel artist Anothony Michael aka Tony Mike who doubles as the church Music Director averred that the occasion is an open door to Higher Glory, while fielding questions from newsmen after the celebration.

Word Alive Church is a vibrant penticostal ministry “with faith as the cardinal point of the ministry.” The congregation is taught about what is expected of them to earn eternal life and the Word is preached with power, excellence and integrity in a warm, inviting unique, exuberant, spirit filled and electrifying atmosphere.
