Youth Ambassador commends Otu on skills development

The managing Director of Benco welding and Fabrication Work who doubles as Cross River State Youth’s Ambassador, Engr. Benard.S. Jersey has appreciated the State Governor, Senator Bassey Edet Otu for his unwavering support for skills development and certification for youths in Cross River State. This according to him will bolster the local content initiative to fill employment gaps in companies in the state and make them self-reliant to receede youths restiveness in the society.

Engr. Jersey while fielding questions from newsmen on Monday, January 6, 2025 in Calabar gave kudos to the State Commissioner for Youths Development, Hon. Barr. Ijom Ukam for creating the enabling environment to actualize the peoples first mantra and season of sweetness of Governor Bassey Otu administration.

He used the forum to beg youths to channel their energies towards skills acquisition to become good citizens and leaders in the community rather than indulge in vices inimical to their future progress. He advised them against the “JAPA” syndrome, suggesting that they come together and leverage on President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda of the present administration.

It would be recalled that Cross River youths Ambassador, Engr. Benard.S. Jersey has been in the forefront of training youths with his “Build the youths, Build the Nation” slogan which has changed the negative narrative lifestyle of many youths with skill to better their lives in Cross River State in Stanchion, Installation, Steel Roofing, Water Project, Pipeline Net Working and General Metal Working.
