Zamfara PDP Candidate Bilbils remanded, fails to meet bail conditions
The Zamfara Central Senatorial Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party Ikra Bilbils has been remanded at a correctional facility in Gusau
This is coming hours after an upper sharia court 2 in Gusau granted him bail
TVC News gathered that the accused was unable to meet the bail conditions
Part of the conditions for his bail is to produce two serving Permanent Secretaries in the state civil service and a responsible person with a House worth twenty million nairas in Gusau, Zamfara State
Ikra Bilbils was arrested by Security operatives after being interrogated for several hours over the alleged sponsorship of political thugs to vandalise campaign billboards, posters, and other items belonging to the APC during a welcome home rally in honor of Dauda Lawal, the embattled Governorship Candidate of the PDP
He is been accused of Criminal Conspiracy, Mischief, public disturbance, and destruction of public peace and properties among others
Ikra Bilbils was earlier arraigned before Magistrate Court 1 in Gusau
The presiding judge Abubakar Gurbin-Bore after listening to the prosecution and defendant’s counsel transferred the case to sharia court 2 Gusau, saying that the Magistrate Court lack powers to entertain the case.
Meanwhile, the People’s Democratic Party PDP has accused the Zamfara State Government of using security agencies to arrest six of its key members

This is the second time in three months that the two major Political parties clashed and are accusing each other of attacking its Supporters, destroying Campaign billboards, posters among other things
Addressing Newsmen shortly after an emergency meeting in Gusau, the opposition party says many of its key members are on the blacklist of the state government and are likely to be picked up
Among those presently under arrest are a former Minister who is also the Zamfara Central Senatorial Candidate, Ikra Bilbils, and Ambassador Bala Mairiga among others.
The PDP says the move is a deliberate attempt to silence the opposition party in Zamfara
On its part, the Zamfara state Government says the PDP destroyed its billboards and other properties belonging to residents during its rally on Sunday.
The state government insists that the PDP brought in hired thugs from neighboring states to cause havoc and disrupt the peace.
Police in the state is yet to comment on the incident despite several calls and messages put across.
