Bakassi chairmanship aspirant commends support of former chairman

The immediate past Director General of Cross River Waterways and All Progressives Congress (APC) party candidate in the November 2, 2024 Local Government Elections in Cross River State, Mr. Effiong Okon has appreciated the former Executive Chairman Utuenikang Bakassi Chief Iyadim Amboni Iyadim for supporting him in his bid to emerge as the next executive chairman of the council.

Effiong Okon aka ‘Effiong-Eyen’ made the comment while fielding questions from newsmen on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 as he promised to build on Iyadim’s achievement and promised to introduce a new approach in grass root development to take Bakassi Local Government Area to the seaport project promising a conducive environment for it success

He used the occasion to thank the State Governor, Senator Bassey Edet Otu and the leadership of All Progress Congress (APC) in Cross River State for giving him the opportunity to service the good people of Bakassi Local Government Area. He promised not to disappoint them if elected the executive chairman and will not renege in his vision to transform the littoral communities of the State.

The aspirant was a Member of Bakassi local government area executive council under the tenure of Chief Iyadim Amboni Iyadim as chairman between 2020 to 2023.
