Clergy harps on importance of prayer as season “3” Prison Break revival event close
Adherents of the Christian faith have been implored to imbibe the spirit of prayers and intercession in order to progress in life and ministry.
The charge was given by the General Overseer of Fruitful Vine Gospel Mission (Diamond City) in his message to wind-down the season “3” Prison Break revival programme themed: “My Father, My Father” on Sunday 1st September, 2024 at the international headquarters of the church in Calabar, Cross River State.
Apostle (Prof.) Kyrian A. Ojong, former Head of Philosophy Department in the University of Calabar, while referencing Luke 18:1 “And he spake a parable unto them to this end that men ought always to pray and not to faint” stressed the importance of prayers in the life of every Christian at the close of Day-4 spiritual convention which started on Thursday, August 29.
And corroborating, the Guest Minister at the event, Rev. Stephen Lawrence revealed that prophet Elisha succeeded in receiving the mantle and double anointing from his master and mentor, Prophet Elijah by exclaiming “My Father, My Father” in 2nd Kings 2:11-14,” positing that it would not have been possible without persistent prayers by Elisha.
The Host Minister Pastor Moses James Edet appreciated God for the grace and success of the National Prayer Band event. And while declaring the month of September as season of fruitfulness, he urged congregants at the convocation to dis-abuse their minds over the fear of “EMBER Months” as God is going to make them to see, enjoy and cross over to the month of January, 2025 citing Jeremiah 29:11.
Fruitful Vine Gospel Mission aka “Diamond city” is a Christian based ministry focussed among others, on envangelizing the world with zeal to harvest souls in accordance with the divine mandate.
