Clergy lauds INEC for success in Osun election
The Senior Pastor of the Assemblies of God church, Grace Hills, Diamond Hills, Calabar, Cross River State, Rev Festus Afabe has praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the success and smooth conduct of Saturday, July 16, 2022 governorship election in Osun State.
Rev Afabe, a public relations practitioner who also doubles as the Assemblies of God Calabar district Secretary gave the commendation in a chat with LENS Reporter on Sunday, July 17 during a service in his honour tagged “I LOVE MY PASTOR’’.
The Guest Minister, Evangelist O. Prince who preached at the event took his sermon from Luke 7:4 “ And they when they came to the Jesus, begged him earnestly saying “ “ He is worthy for you to do this for him” referencing 1st Corinthians 9:11” if Rev Afabe have sown spiritual things for you, is it a great thing if reap your spiritual things ?”
He appreciate the congregation for their show of love and contribution towards the ceremony which had in attendance eminent personalities like Rev Nte Akpan, a retiring Senior Pastor of Assemblies of God church who has put in nearly forty-five years of service in the vineyard of Gods and Rt. Hon. Mattew Olori, the former Chairman of Akamkpa Local Government Area and member of Cross River State House OF Assembly is also a Deacon in the church.
The event featured praise worship, word ministration, and giving and donation of gifts to the celebrant.
