Cleric acknowledges the possibility of miracle in contemporary world
The terse resurrection of an elderly Ecuadorian woman on Sunday June, 11, 2023 having been confirmed dead on Friday June 9, 2023 has aroused the spirit of pastor James John, lead pastor of Gospel House, the home of the Gospel Deliverance Ministry International in Calabar, Cross River State.
Pastor John while reacting to the 21st century miracle in an interview with newsmen during the commencement of the church Free At Last Convention on Monday June, 12th scheduled to end on Sunday June, 18th referenced Mathew 19:26 “with man, this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” said this phrase proclaims the absolute sovereignty and uncontested power of God.
He admonished the people including those of other faith never to doubt God’s intervention in doing the impossible where men have lost hope.
Recall a woman woke-up after 2 days inside coffin. The elderly Ecuadorian is now at the same hospital that pronounced her dead.
Ecuadorian media reported the unusual incident, with headlines reading, “celebrating the woman’s resurrection” on Sunday June 11, 2023.
Her son Gilbert Balberan said that his mother was hitting the box with her left hand after staying in the coffin for five hours. Balberan had to arrange for the donation of a coffin for the impoverished family after the Martin Icaza Public hospital in the coastal town of Babahoyo declared her dead on Friday June 9, 2023.
He said, “they even gave us a death certificate” and in a video broadcast by a local media “Ms. Montoya is on Oxygen and her heart is stable, the doctor pinched her hand and she reacted, Mr. Balberan said in an El Universo newspaper report.
Ms. Montoya was initially admitted to the hospital on account of suspected stroke and went into cardiorespiratory arrest without responding to resuscitation maneuvers so the doctor on duty confirmed her dead, Ecuador’s Health Ministry said on Sunday.
The ministry said it had established a committee to investigate the incident and that it would supervise Ms. Montoya’s care.
