Cleric commends Governor Otu for berthing University of Education and Entrepreneurship, others
The Senior Pastor of Promise Covenant Chapel, Dr. Amos Obeten has commended Cross River State Governor, Senator Bassey Edet Otu for the establishment of the University of Education and Entrepreneurship in Awi, Akamkpa Local Government Area of the state.
Dr. Obeten while fielding questions from newsmen said the exercise would help to produce graduates who will be self sufficient and employers of labour instead of looking forward to white collars jobs after school.
Obeten who doubles as Proprietor of Top Exquisite High School in Calabar also gave kudos to the Cross River State Commissioner for Education, Senator (Dr.) Stephen Odey for providing enabling environment and drive to make the state emerge among the best four states in the 2024 West Africa Examination Council results.
He also used the occasion to congratulate an indigene of the state from Yala Local Government Area, Prof. Boniface Odey for his election as President of National Parents Teachers Association of Nigeria (NAPTAN) in a keenly contested poll in Abuja and wished him the wisdom to pilot affairs of the group to enhance educational development in the country.
Prof. Odey was before now, the National Treasurer of NAPTAN and Cross River Chairman of Parents Teachers Association.
