Cleric condoles fmr. national lawmaker over son’s death

The untimely death of late Essien Ayi(Jnr.), who died in a ghastly motor accident in Abuja has drawn sympathy from family, friends and associates.

The deceased was the son of Rt. Hon. Apostle Essien Ayi, a former member representing Calabar South/Akpabuyo/Bakassi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

Elijah Effiong Eyo aka Prophet Odudu I has expressed deep sadness over the ill-fated incident. He bared his mind while fielding questions from newsmen in Calabar on Wednesday August 9, 2023 where he prayed God to give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and grant the gentle soul of late Pastor Essien Ayi (Jnr) repose in the bossom of Abraham.

Late Pastor Ayi (Jnr) was a minister with Peniel Church of God, 7 Odwyer Street, Calabar South in Cross River State.

Prophet Odudu I, the General Overseer of New World Apostolic Miracle Church in Calabar referencing Ecclesiastes 3:2 “A time to be born, and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to pluck that which is planted”, explained that nothing happens to anything created by God when the creator has not programmed it to happen, hence admonished the family, friends, colleagues and community to see it as a divine providence.

Recall that Late Pastor Essien Ayi (Jnr.) as scion in the “Isangtim”of Calabar political dynasty lost his life in a fatal motor accident in Abuja and passed on the spot before he could be rushed to the hospital. His remains would be buried in Calabar soon after funeral service as announced by the family.
