Cross River Governor nominates Sen. Odey, 25 others commissioners designate
Cross River State Governor, Senator (Prince) Bassey Otu has nominated a former senator who represented Cross River North, in the upper chamber of the National Assembly, Dr. Stephen Odey and 25 others as commissioners designate.
APC member Senator (Dr.) Stephen Odey returned from the senate to continue his job as chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board-SUBEB, when the court removed him in favour of the incumbent, Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Others listed and scheduled for screening by the Cross River State House of Assembly are Mike Ogbere, Dr. Justin Beshel, Hon. Agness Atsu, Hon. Patrick Egbede, Hon. Robert . A . Ewa, Dr. Egbe Ayuk, Dr. Beatrice Igwe, Prince Eka Williams, Mr. Oden Ewa, Hon. Moses Osogi, Barr. Odum Ijom Ukam, Hon. Ankpo Pius, Mrs. Abigail Duke and Hon. Lawrencia Ita.
Also making the list are Chief Felix Idem, Pastor Ekpenyong Cobham, Nfufam Emmanuel Anum, Mrs. Glady’s Eutendala, Dr. Hippolatus Ogar Lukpata and Hon. Edema Erom.
Other nominees are Barr. Mensah Bassey, Barr. Ededem Ani, Bishop Margaret Ene-Ita, Chief Francis Ekpenyong and Dr. Mathias Unimke Angioha.
They have been mandated to appear with six documents on Monday July 31st 2023 at 9:00am in the Mini Auditorium of the Assembly complex and further advised to submit to the screening committee detailed curriculum vitae, birth certificate or affidavit of age declaration, Education/Professional certificates, certificate of Local Government of Origin, tax clearance certificate for the past three (3) years proceeding: evidence of party registration and any other relevant documents plus ten (10) file jackets each on or before the screening date.
In a press release signed and issued by the principal legislative officer who doubles as committee clerk for the clerk of the House, Mr. Ukukong Augustine also directed them to appear before the committee on Judiciary, Public Services Matters and Conflict Resolution for screening.
