DPO in Kaduna rewarded N1m for rejecting kidnapper’s bribe

The Executive Chairman of Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Nasara Rabo, has rewarded a Divisional Police Officer, Idris Ibrahim, with the sum of 1 million naira for rejecting an amount of money offered by a suspected kidnapper to help truncate his investigation.

Rabo who stated this in a letter of recommendation issued on Monday disclosed that the DPO Ibrahim Idris who is currently serving in Tafa under Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State arrested a kidnapper on 22nd January 2024, who attempted to bribe him with huge amount of money to truncate the investigation but the DPO rejected the bribe and vowed to allow the law take it’s full course.

And commending the police officer, the Kagarko chairman, Rabo said, ‘The singular effort made by the officer has not only made the Nigeria Police Force proud but also made the good people of Kagarko Local Government Area, the good people of Kaduna State, and Nigeria at large proud, adding that with the caliber of officers like Ibrahim Idris in the service, insecurity, and related criminalities that bedeviled the society today will become history.

While presenting a formal letter of commendation with a largesse of one million naira as a morale booster to the police officer to encourage him to put more patriotic effort in dealing with criminality in the LGA, urged all police personnel in the state to always uphold the ethics of their profession by refusing to be compromised in the discharge of their duties.
