ELDER HOGAN, the passage of a legend at 82

The faithful of the Apostolic Church Nigeria, Ibok Street Assembly, Ikot Nsisuk Area in Calabar Field are mourning the demise of a legend, late Elder Hogan Asuquo Efiok who passed on to glory in July 2022 at the age of 82 years.

The journey of his remains began on Friday, September 23 with a vigil at his residence and a country home in Ikot Ansa, Calabar, Cross River State. The funeral was at Women Development Centre, and the burial today Saturday at Hawkins Cemetery.

Born in 1940, the late Elder Efiok was a retired police sergeant and the former staff of the University of Calabar security department. He was described as an English or White man due to his impeccable character in the church and society. He hailed from the Efiok Eyo NSA House in Creek Town, Odukpani Local Government Area of Cross River State.

The legend who served briefly in the Security Unit of the Apostolic Church Nigeria, Calabar Field Headquarters at 101 Marian Road, Calabar is missed by all. Assistant Pastor Paul Udoh and his eldest daughter, Miss Emem Hogan, a Nurse with the General Hospital, Akamkpa described his passage as a colossal loss when his fatherly and wise counsel was most needed.

He is survived by his wife and six children as well as grandchildren.
