Governor Otu attends farewell ceremony of outgoing flag officer, Eastern Naval Command

Cross River Governor Bassey Otu on Monday, February 19, 2024, attended the farewell and handover ceremony of Rear Admiral O. K. Oluwagbire of Eastern Naval Command of the Nigerian Navy, Calabar.

The Governor, represented by his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, congratulated the new Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Naval Command, Rear Admiral S. Akinwande, and expressed gratitude to the outgoing officer for his tremendous role in combating crime in the maritime domain of the State as well as his service to the Nigerian Navy.

Odey was accompanied by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar, Special Adviser on General Duties, Ekpenyong Akiba, Esq, and Chairman of the Cross River State Forestry Commission, Rt. Hon. George O’ben-Etchi.
