“I have the mandate to serve”-Joseph Edet aka La-Shakara
An aspirant for the House of Representatives position in the 2023 general elections to represent the people of Calabar Municipality/Odukpani Federal Constituency of Cross River State, Mr. Joseph Edet popularly called La-shakara has said that he has the mandate to serve his people.
Edet who is also called Mr Fixer in a chat with newsmen after his screening at the state APC secretariat in Calabar said he is driven by all-round excellence, intellectual capacity, fixability, and the spirit of hard work to deliver dividends of democracy to his constituency if elected to the lower chamber of the National Assembly.
The indigene of Odukpani in Cross River State revealed that he started the La-shakara brand to impact the lives of people around his environment and has been tagged the “Armancio Ortega” of this era in clothing and fashion within and outside Nigeria.
He hinted as well that innovations, creativity, and style prompted the invention of La-shakara with a meager sum of N 10,0000 from his NYSC allowance and today caters to orphans, the less privileged, and the destitute. He vowed to replicate the gesture to boost human capacity development if elected.
He further said that everybody is somebody and nobody should be look-down upon or rejected by anybody as the future of the nation is for every Nigerian.
