Ishie clan host 9th PCN prelate, Akpanika in Calabar

His Eminence Ekpenyong Nyong Akpanika PhD, the 9th Prelate of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria – PCN, and Moderator of the General Assembly was formally welcomed on Friday by his kinsmen at a reception held at A.B. Martin Field in Ikot Ishie Town, Calabar Municipal Local Government Area, Cross River State.

The occasion featured cultural displays spiced with inputs from youths, in-laws, and congregants of PCN Ishie Town Parish. Also in attendance among other dignitaries from Ishie Town are the immediate past Director of Administration (DA) of the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, UCTH, Elder Professor Archibong, and Retired Permanent Secretary Elder Edem.

In their separate speeches at the event, the Head of Clan and Chairman of Ishie Clan Town Council HRH, Etubom Effiom Okon Effiom and Secretary of Ishie Clan Council, Barrister Ededet Eyoma describe His Eminence Akpanika as a worthy Son of Ishie Town Clan whose selfless sacrifice in the ministry has been rewarded by his elevation as the 9th prelate and moderator of General Assembly.

Recall that His Eminence Akpanika was installed on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at PCN 13 Eyamba Street in Calabar with the immediate past prelate leading the ordination and the Obong of Calabar His Eminence Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu as Special Guest of Honour and Royal Father of the Day.
