Nigeria Customs issues 14-day ultimatum on 905 overtime cargoes
The Nigeria Customs Service has issued a two-week deadline to importers and agents to clear 905 overtime cargoes at Lagos ports or risk forfeiture to the Federal Government.
The cargoes, located at Apapa, Tin Can Island, and PTML commands, include 438 40ft containers, 120 20ft containers, 60 groupage containers, 60 used vehicles, and 15 scrap metal units.
Customs warned that if the goods remain uncleared after the grace period, disposal processes will begin immediately, as permitted by the NCS Act 2023.
