Nigeria’s Senate says 2024 budget captures Calabar-Itu road repair
Nigeria’s 10th Senate has assured the people of Cross River and Akwa Ibom that the 2024 budget will address the pathetic and lingering decimal of the Calabar-Itu road.
President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio gave the assurance in Calabar recently while addressing newsmen on Friday 25, 2023, at the Margaret Ekpo International Airport, Calabar on arrival for the thanksgiving service of Asuquo Ekpenyong, a Senator representing Cross River Southern Senatorial District in the national assembly.
He expressed displeasure about the very poor state of Calabar-Itu federal highway noting that both States and commuters are affected.
He congratulated Governor Bassey Otu on his victory at the Appeal Court.
The Nigerian number three citizen was received by the Deputy Governor, Rt Honorable Peter Odey, Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong, Speaker of the State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem, APC State Chairman, Alphonsus Eba, Esq, members of the State Executive Council, and other highprofile dignitaries.
