Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency By-Election: APC; PDP nominate candidates for Feb. 26 poll

All is now set for the February 26, 2022 by-election to fill the vacancy position in the Ogoja/Yala Federal constituency created by the exit of Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe who replaced the late Senator Rose Oko in Cross River North Senatorial District in the red chamber of the National Assembly.

While the All Progressive Congress (APC) has nominated Mr. Jude Ngaji as a candidate, the People`s Democratic Party (PDP) selected Hon. Mike Usibe, former Chairman of Yala Local Government Council to fly their flag in the election described it as a battle of the titans by political watchers.

In separate interviews with some supporters of the candidates who spoke on condition of anonymity with LENS Reporter said that notwithstanding that both candidates are from Yala local council area, Hon. Usibe who has the support of Senator Jarigbe appears to be the favorite to clinch the ticket.
