Oshoala wins 2022 CAF Female Player of the Year Award for record 5th time
Super Falcons and FC Barcelona striker, Asisat Oshoala has been crowned 2022 CAF Women’s ‘Player of the Year for the fifth time.
The 27-year-old was announced the winner of the gong in the gala held in Rabat, Morrocco, on Thursday.
The new honours makes her the most decorated female player in Africa in this category since the inception of the CAF Awards. She surpasses the feat achieved by the legend and fellow compatriot, Perpetual Nkwocha.
Earlier, she had been adjudged the best African female footballer in 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2019.
