Silverbird splashes awards on distinguished Nigerians
The official presentation of the 2021 Silverbird’s Man of the Year and other Silverbird awards is expected to take place on Sunday, March 6, 2022.
The event is scheduled to take place at the convention centre, Eko Hotel, and Suite, Victoria Island Lagos.
The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu will be bestowed with the prestigious Silverbird Man of the Year Award, while the Silverbird extraordinary personality of the year award will be conferred on the president of the African Development Bank, Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina.
The executive governor of Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa will be presented with the 2021 Silverbird governor of the year award.
The Silverbird special achievement award will be conferred on the Chairman of the NDLEA retired Brigadier – General Buba Marwa, and also on tech innovator, entrepreneur, and founder/CEO of Smart Gas Nigeria Dr. Yinka Opeke.
The Silverbird extraordinary achievement award will go to Dr Mrs. Seinye Lulu Briggs
Chairman, Global Fund for the Alliance of NGOs and CSO for South-South Cooperation, and the Chairman of Air Peace, Allen Onyema is among the awardees.
The Chairman and CEO of the Innoson Group, Chief Innocent Chukwuma OFR, will receive the Silverbird Manufacturer of the Year Award.
The 2021 Silverbird Financial Institution of the year award goes to the United Bank of Africa, UBA Plc.
The Silverbird posthumous awards go to Pa Abraham Adesanya, Justice Chukwudifu Oputa, and Alhaji Abubakar Rimi.
King Ebi Timi Baningo (OFR), a pioneer of modern and merchant banking in Nigeria gets the Silverbird Ultimate Legend Award while the Silverbird Special Recognition Award goes to the Nigerian health sector.
