Trump urges Iran to ‘get back into the world order flow,’ insisting US could bomb again if it continues high-level uranium enrichment

US President Donald Trump has rejected the claim by Iran’s supreme leader that Tehran’s forces were “victorious” over Israel and the United States and pressed Tehran to rejoin the world order or face worse consequences.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei claimed victory on state television on Thursday in his first address to the Iranian public since the ceasefire with Israel was announced.

Trump lashed out at the statement as “a lie” in a social media post on Friday. He claimed he had saved Khamenei by not letting Israel or US forces kill him despite his whereabouts being known.

Earlier, CNN quoted sources familiar with the matter as saying the Trump administration has discussed the possibility of easing sanctions on Iran and “freeing up billions of dollars in restricted Iranian funds” in an attempt to bring Teheran back to the negotiating table.

The president said that he had been working on the possible removal of sanctions against Tehran in recent days, but that he immediately dropped that after what he said was “a statement of anger, hatred and disgust” by Khamenei.

Trump warned that Iran ”has to get back into the World Order flow, or things will only get worse for them.” He added, “I wish the leadership of Iran would realize that you often get more with HONEY than you do with VINEGAR.”

The United States has indicated it will not accept Iran’s uranium enrichment, while Iran has stressed its determination to continue its nuclear program.

US President Donald Trump says he would consider bombing Iran again if the country can still enrich uranium to high levels.

On Friday, Trump answered a reporter asking, “If the intelligence reports conclude that Iran can enrich uranium to a level that concerns you, would you consider bombing the country again?” Trump said, “Without question, absolutely.”

Military tensions rose in the Middle East as US forces attacked three nuclear sites in Iran and Tehran launched a retaliatory strike against a US military base in Qatar.

Asked about possible US-Iran talks, Trump just said, “Iran wants to meet.” He did not mention the timing of the meeting. The White House has said it is in communication with Iran on holding talks.

The White House says it is in communication with Iran on holding more nuclear talks, while the Iranian foreign minister says no agreement has been made on the matter. The question now is whether the two countries will be able to agree on a resumption of talks.

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday mentioned plans to hold US-Iran talks next week, suggesting a resumption of negotiations that had been suspended since the onset of the latest Israel-Iran conflict.

On Thursday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters nothing has yet been scheduled, but that the White House continues to be in close communication with the Iranians, with Qatar acting as an intermediary.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, speaking in an interview with state television on Thursday, stressed Iran’s distrust of the United States, which conducted attacks on Iranian nuclear sites. He said no agreement or promise has been made on negotiations, and no talks have taken place.
