Works commissioner condoles bereaved family of late finance director
The immediate past commissioner of works in Akwa Ibom State, Akparawa Ephraim Inyangeyen has condoled with the family of the late Director of Finance in the Ministry of Works, Elder Edet Asuquo Ayara.
The former commissioner expressed his condolences when he visited the wife and family of the late Ayara at his country home in Mbiakpan Atan, Ibiono Ibom LGA.
He described the deceased as a dependable brother, friend, ally and quintessential civil servant who was dedicated, committed and passionate about his job.
Akparawa Inyangeyen who was accompanied by his wife, Lady Ime Inyangeyen, two-time National President of NUJ, South South, Comrade Edward Okude, Corporate Valuer in the Ministry of Works, Mr. Ubong Williams, among others, maintained that the late Ayara was instrumental to the laudable successes recorded in the ministry during his tenure, and contributed immensely to the delivery of quality projects currently enjoyed in the State.
He noted that his passing was not only a loss to his immediate family and community, but more to the ministry of works who according to him, enjoyed the robust relationship with the late career civil servant and gentleman.
The former Chief of Staff to the immediate past Governor of Akwa Ibom State, assured the family that they were not alone, as he will stand by them in this moment of grief, and urged them to be consoled in the good legacies of their late patriarch.
On hand to receive the former commissioner of works during the visit were, the deceased wife, Mrs. Edet Asuquo Ayara, his son, Mr. Mfoniso Ayara, Member representing Itu/Ibiono, Rt. Hon. Ime Okon and his wife among others.
Late Edet Asuquo Ayara who died recently after a brief illness at the age of 61, will be laid to rest on Saturday, 16th of November, 2024 after funeral service to be conducted by Church of Christ, Four Towns, Uyo at Primary School, Mbiakpan Atan in Ibiono Ibom LGA.
