NBA AGM: Atiku, Obi, Shettima attend conference

The Annual General Meeting of the Nigerian Bar Association is currently held at the Eko Hotels in Lagos state.

The presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, the Labour Party, Atiku Abubakar, and Peter Obi, respectively are present at the event.

The vice-presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Kashim Shettima, is also present at the event to represent the presidential candidate of the party, Bola Tinubu.

The two Presidential candidates and the vice of the APC flagbearers took turns to address the gathering. Atiku Abubakar dwelt on five nuggets one of which is the unity of the country which he said is critical at this point of our nationhood. Peter Obi doubled down on character, competence, and capacity as key to taking the country out of the woods.

The 2022 NBA AGM is themed “BOLD Transitions” and its General Conference was expected to hold between August 19 to 26, with the opening ceremony happening today. Also present at the event are Governors Solomon Lalong and Godwin Obaseki of Plateau and Edo states respectively.

The Lagos State Attorney General, Moyosore Onigbanjo is representing Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the state, while the Chief Judge of the state, Kazeem Alogba, is also present.

The Keynote Speaker at the event is the award-winning Nigerian writer, Chimamanda Adichie.
